Vikram Dhamija, the Managing Director of Best Cranes (P) Ltd was  a member of EPGC and well loved in his circles. A friend to many and very popular in the city Vikram Dhamija’s death comes as a blow to the people who knew him and the others who expressed their hurt and sorrow over this tragedy. 

As per the CCTV footage of the apartment, six men in two batches were seen entering the apartment. While four took the elevator to reach his flat, two remained in the cellar on Monday at 4pm posing as income tax officials.

Vikram Dhamija lives in an apartment on  Beach Road. His office is also on the same floor.  The assailants  entered the house with arms and weapons. Two were waiting downstairs. After an argument, four of them attacked Vikram and  stabbed him multiple times.  They also stabbed his wife Jyotee and his driver Janardhan. It was when Jyotee raised an alarm for help that they fled.

Vikram Dhamija’s children are unharmed. His daughter was not in the house at the time of attack and their son was in the next flat.

Business rivalry is being considered as the prime reason.

A day after the murder of city-based businessman Vikram Prakash Dhamija, police is said they had got some vital clues to nab the accused. The police has formed 10 teams to nab the inter-state gang who murdered Dhamija. The gang was said to have been involved in a dacoity at Darapalem.
