A truck and low loader carrying a large boom lift overturned this Wenesday on the E40 highway in Wetteren, between Brussels and Gent.
Thankfully no one was in injured in the incident but the stricken truck and boom blocked all three lanes during this morning’s rush hour and is still being cleared. The boom, a Genie SX105XC or 125, is from the Heli rental which is based in the immediate area.
Several large wrecker trucks arrived on the scene to recover the truck and boom, and there was also an oil and diesel spill which will require a clean up.
If we receive any more information that might be useful for rental companies and transport contractors, we will of course update this item.
