Engine Agreement Between Deutz and Liebherr

German engine manufacturer Deutz has reached an agreement with Liebherr to distribute and service four Liebherr diesel engines with capacities from nine to 18 litres, which it will market under the Deutz brand, adding to the existing range of Deutz TCD products.

Production is planned to begin in 2019, in time for the introduction of the new EU Stage V emissions standard. The four engines will meet the EU Stage V and other global emission standards.

Liebherr-Component Technologies managing director Gebhard Schwarz said: “We are delighted to have further expanded the business relationships between our companies. Deutz, with its well-established global distribution network and extensive range of services, will be able to attract new customer groups for our collaboratively produced engines.”
