JLG has partnered with German manufacturer Continental Tyres to develop the new TeleMaster tyre for telehandlers.
The new tyre, which will be available as an option on certain JLG and SkyTrak telehandlers, is designed to meet the specific demands of telehandler applications. It is made of highly specialised rubber compounds designed to improve the performance and ride of the machine, while including reinforced sidewalls to protect against punctures and cuts. The tyre’s non-directional tread pattern reduces the number of assembly combinations and feature a rib tread pattern that ensures high traction in both directions.
JLG senior product manager for telehandlers John Boehme said: “Telehandlers are used in a variety of job site environments. This, coupled with the fact that they work in various demanding applications, means they require tyres with outstanding durability. The new TeleMaster tyres meet this requirement with their sturdy three layer construction.”
